Dube elected president-elect of R.I. Association of School Committees

PAWTUCKET – Erin Dube of the Pawtucket School Committee was elected president-elect of the Rhode Island Association of School Committees at its 2020 annual business meeting.

Dube was elected to the Pawtucket School Committee in 2014 and currently serves as the deputy chairwoman. She also serves on the wellness subcommittee. Dube was a high school English teacher and currently teaches English at Johnson and Wales University. She has two children in the Pawtucket school system. Dube has also attended many RIASC professional development sessions and is a graduate of RIASC’s Leadership Academy.

“RIASC provides an opportunity to advocate for excellent public education at a statewide level. It also provides a means for connecting across districts. This collaboration benefits all. Serving on the executive board over the past two years, has provided me more opportunities to discuss and drive policy decisions as well as plan professional development offerings. I am honored to take on the role of president-elect.”
