Frances M. “Frankie” Feather – Cumberland

Frances M. “Frankie” Feather, 85, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday July 12, 2020.

She was the beloved wife of Donald Feather, whom she met when they were students at Central Falls High School. Donald and Frankie recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Rita (Parker) Jacome.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her eight children: Steven Feather and his wife, Susan, of Belgrade, Maine; Michael Feather and his wife, Renee, of Cumberland, R.I.; Susan Feather of Cumberland; Diane Feather of Riverside, R.I.; Lynn Feather of Dallas, Texas; Sandra Feather Woolley, of Winslow, Maine; John Feather and his wife, Angela, of Cumberland; and Thomas Feather and his wife, Kerry, of Cumberland. She will also be greatly missed by her sister, Gail Trapp, her brother, William Keddie, and her grandchildren: Christopher Feather, Amanda Smith, Abby Nelsen, Keith Feather, Zachary Gaboriault, Corina Gaboriault, Matthew Fricker, Benjamin Feather, Campbell Feather, and Flannery Feather. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Frankie was full of love, laughter, and wit. She was always happy to converse with family and friends about current events or family news. She enjoyed watching sports - especially the Patriots and Red Sox, watching and ordering from QVC, and traveling to Las Vegas. She truly cherished family meals and gatherings, which often included a good amount of quality chocolate.

Beyond all of that, and more importantly, Frances will be remembered most of all for her unlimited capacity to love all of those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Frances and Donald together showed us every day what a marriage and a union of two people is meant to be, and through her endless ability to love, she taught us what it means to be a family. We will carry her love in our hearts forever.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral and burial will be restricted to immediate family only. We plan to celebrate Frankie’s life with her friends and extended family at a later date once it is safe to do so.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to Philip Hulitar, HopeHealth Hospice Center, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904, as we are so thankful for the loving care they gave to her and our family throughout her illness, or to the Boys and Girls Club of Northern RI, 1 James J Mckee Way, Cumberland, RI 02864.
