Carosi pledges to advocate for environment

SCITUATE – Pamela Carosi, Democratic candidate for House District 41, said everyone has a need for green open spaces.

“I will be a strong advocate for thoughtful land preservation and clean drinking water in Scituate and western Cranston,” she said.

“Rhode Island is blessed with many beautiful landscapes and vistas, but we need to preserve these if we are to continue to enjoy them, and if we are to allow our children and their children to enjoy them as well. We want our small farms to continue with their family legacy. We want to fish, to hunt, to garden, and to walk on trails that have not been contaminated by pesticides and commercial by-products,” she said.

Carosi said it’s important to preserve the environment through thoughtful government while not interfering with the state’s commercial and economic development.
