Pendergast seeks support from Scituate voters

SCITUATE – Democrat Kevin Pendergast says if elected to the Scituate School Committee he will bring a wealth and depth of knowledge on school safety, school culture and the social and emotional well-being of children.

A former sargent for the Scituate Police Department, he said he previously served as a school resource officer for 12 years and was instrumental in developing and implementing the school’s emergency response plan, Scituate’s Truancy Court for absent and tardy students, and through his collaboration with the State Police allowed Scituate to be the first district to connect school IT systems to the state’s law enforcement systems.

Active in his community, Pendergast said he has served as the president of the Scituate Foster Little League, coached Scituate girls’ basketball and softball leagues and is a member of Scituate Students Against Destructive Decisions and the Scituate Lions.
