Burke running for re-election to School Committee

WOONSOCKET – Donald G. Burke, present vice chairman of the Woonsocket School Committee, announces his bid for re-election to the Woonsocket School Committee.

Burke had served three years on the appointed School Committee and two years on the recent elected School Committee.

Burke stated in a press release, “As an educator and teacher of 45 years, I understand the bigger picture of education, the workings and collaboration of a school district, the dynamics of a school building, and the passion of the classroom. My focus has always been on the best education for my students in my classroom and now the larger classroom of the 6,000 Woonsocket students in the district. I enjoy serving on the School Committee and ask for your vote so I can continue serving the district, its administration, the principals, the teachers and staff, and most importantly the students of the city of Woonsocket.”
