Staples pledges transparency

NORTH SMITHFIELD – Megan Staples released the following regarding her campaign for Town Council: “Since my appointment to the Planning Board in 2018, I’ve proposed a solar moratorium that helped see changes incentivizing development that will benefit us without radically affecting the charm and character of our town. I also was one of the Planning Board members who raised concerns regarding the blasting on Iron Mine Hill Road. I believe that transparency in government is necessary to ensuring that the growth of the town is in agreement with the collective vision we have for the future. It is my intention to ensure that our residents’ wishes are heard at the council level and make sure everything presented to the council is considered carefully and thoughtfully, never rushed for want of a particular outcome.”
