Roger R. Godbout – Bellingham, Mass.

Roger R. Godbout, 82, of Bellingham, Mass., passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, after a brief illness.

He was the husband of Teresa (Quinn) Godbout, and they had been married for the past 60 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Oscar and Emma (Caron) Godbout. He resided in Bellingham for the past 52 years.

He was a graduate of Bryant University and received a Bachelor of Science in accounting.

Mr. Godbout was employed as an auditor and financial analyst for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services for 42 years before his retirement.

He was a communicant of the St. John Vianney Church. Roger was a loving and dedicated husband. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family. He enjoyed yearly family vacations to Lake Winnipesaukee and Martha's Vineyard. Family defined him. Family brought him fulfillment and purpose every day of his life.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his children, Mary Godbout of Sarasota, Fla., Paula Pelletier and her husband, Dan, of Westerly, Charlene DiChristofero and her husband, Scott, of Cumberland, Stephen Godbout and his wife, Barri Lynn, of Sterling, Mass., and David Godbout and his wife, Mia, of Warwick, R.I.; his three sisters, Rita Godbout of Bellingham, Jeannine Godbout of Bellingham, and Cecile Dalpe and her husband, Fernand, of Falmouth, Mass.; his 10 grandchildren, James, Teresa, Emily, David, Rob, Jackie, Benjamin, Jonathan, Cameron, and Marina; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, funeral services will be private.
