Barbara Ann Yuill – Putnam, Conn.

Barbara Ann Yuill, born in Providence, R.I., on March 31, 1942, to James R. and Margaret (Taylor) Hopkins, departed this earthly realm on November 11, 2020, to embark upon a peaceful journey to another dimension where she will remain safe, free, and comfortable forevermore.

She resided at Matulaitis Nursing Home for the last several years where she was given daily care, comfort, and assistance. She and her loved ones are forever grateful for the dedication and compassion of the earth angels that worked with her and tended to her daily needs. She formed some beautiful friendships while there, as she did throughout her entire life.

She enjoyed many successful years in her career as a Realtor. She was known to be intelligent, kind, generous and she had a great sense of humor. She could also be a bit feisty at times and was referred to as “Mama Kitty” by her children and many of their childhood friends.

Besides the love for her family and friends, she had a great passion for photography. As a bonus, she was also able to incorporate this into a part of her realty profession. Most of all, she had a gift of capturing the beauty of nature and particularly favored taking pictures of ocean scenery and lighthouses.

Like the everlasting light of the lighthouse that provides hope and protection, her eternal light of love will continue to shine brightly on those lives she touched but had to leave behind on this new journey: her two sons, Scott C. Yuill and Bruce M. Yuill, and daughter, Kerri B. Yuill; her former spouse, John C. Yuill, and her sister, Joan M. Christian. Also surrounded by her light of love are her beloved grandchildren Mason and Jacob A. Yuill and her great-grandchildren Brady and Sindel.

Long may your light shine from above, dear Barbara. You will be missed. Funeral services are private.
