Hearthside Museum Gift Shop will host Christmas shopping days

LINCOLN – With the holidays just around the corner, the Hearthside Gift Shop has always been a favorite stop for a unique gift. But this year, with the state of Rhode Island being put on “pause” for two weeks, Hearthside’s annual Old-Fashioned Christmas is being delayed from Dec. 5-6 until Dec. 19-20. However, retail businesses are allowed to open.

Hearthside’s Gift Shop, located at the rear of the museum building, will be open Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 5-6 and 12-13, from 1 to 4 p.m. as part of the national Museum Shop Sunday which highlights the special shopping experience in one-of-a-kind stores, with a broad assortment of gifts. The gift shop offers books, jewelry, children’s products, and more.

The shop will be open during Hearthside’s Christmas tours on Dec. 19-20, as well as after Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 27.

The museum and its shop follow the protocols for safety, including mandatory face masks, limited numbers of visitors at one time, and social distancing.

As a special offer during the holiday season, the Hearthside Gift Shop is offering a 20 percent discount off the purchase of 18-inch doll clothes, as well as other sale items.

The historic Hearthside House is located at 677 Great Road, Lincoln. For more information, call 401-726-0597 or email info@hearthsidehouse.org.
