LINCOLN – A new, full-service auto shop is open for business at 965 Smithfield Ave. in Lincoln.

Lincoln Tire & Auto opened on Monday, Jan. 4, offering a full gamut of services.

The building has been given a face-lift, giving new life into the shop at the corner of Smithfield and Higginson Avenues. Originally built as a three-bay repair shop and car wash, the building later served as a gas station and auto repair center.

Now, Lincoln Tire & Auto features a total of five garage bays and automatic lifts with an alignment rack. The customer bathroom has been updated as well.

The shop is fully computerized and on the state inspection list. They’re open for all automobile maintenance and repair services, including full tire service, brakes, maintenance and fluid exchanges, and feature Valvoline products and “best in the industry” equipment.

The technicians at Lincoln Tire and Auto may be familiar to many in the community who formerly serviced their cars at Larry’s Lincoln Auto Repair, located at the corner of Smithfield Avenue and Great Road.

Lincoln Tire will be managed by Pete DiBonaventura, a former technician at Larry’s with more than 40 years of experience as an auto technician. He will work alongside Jim Mandeville, who also worked at Larry’s before the shop closed last year.

Both said they’re looking forward to working with some of their old customers once more.

Good luck! That corner looks alot better now. Hopefully, something can be done with the property on the other side of the street as it is an eyesore to say the least.
