NRI Chamber Holiday Open House raises $5,000 for R.I. Community Food Bank

LINCOLN – A virtual version of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce's annual Holiday Open House was launched and with the generosity of the Chamber's Board of Directors and Twin River Casino Hotel, $5,000 was raised and donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

With the Food Bank's purchasing power that translates to about 10 tons of food for Rhode Island food pantries.

According to Chamber President and CEO, Liz Catucci, “We are very aware of the number of people in Rhode Island who don’t have the means to provide for their families. This event was an opportunity for the Chamber and our partners to make an impact and give back to our community.”

This year, the Chamber was proud to have played a large role in supporting the business community through an extremely challenging time. The Chamber team hosted numerous seminars with thought leaders and experts to help guide the business community as they pivoted again and again and even distributed free PPE supplies, heaters, and propane tanks as part of the Take it Outside Initiative.
