John K. Clark – Warwick

John K. Clark, 65, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Wiliam F. and Janice P. Clark Jr. John was a gifted baseball player who was signed with the Baltimore Orioles out of high school, in 1973. An injury ended his career early, but John used his knowledge and love for the game as a coach, hitting instructor and mentor to countless players in New England over the years.

He also served with distinction with the U.S. Air Force. John spent his last years as a security guard at Rough Point Mansion in Newport, R.I.

John is survived by his son, Daniel, and his wife, Alissa Clark, and daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Jeffrey Hanson. He was the loving grandfather of Elvis and Levi Hanson and Margaret Clark. He is also survived by his siblings Stephen and wife, Carol Clark, Maureen Clark and William Clark lll. He leaves behind nieces, a nephew and many dear friends who could share a story or two about him.

John loved to tell a good story; his warm laughter and kindness will be missed by all he leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick.
