Paul Francis Moore – Cumberland

Paul Francis Moore, 73, of Cumberland, passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Patricia E. (McAssey) Moore.

Born in Providence and living most of his life in Scituate, he was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Albertina (Schwarm) Moore; his siblings, Kenneth and Frederick; his former, beloved wife of 35 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Moore.

He leaves behind a legacy of love to his family and many friends, especially his daughters Jennifer L. Bacon and her life partner, Jennifer Wall, of Cumberland, and Melissa A. (Bacon) Williams and her husband, Douglas, of Reston, Va.; his grandchildren Kyle, Katelyn and Austin Williams; his siblings Marjorie Pratt and Roger Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Scituate High School and New England Institute of Technology, Paul was a Senior Design Engineering Technician for TI/Sensata Technology where he formed lifelong friendships. After retiring in 2008, he volunteered and worked at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Paul was an avid marksman, fisherman, golfer, Patriots fan, car enthusiast, dedicated blood donor, adventurous traveler, nature lover and a faithful volunteer at the CVS Charity Classic Golf Tournament. As a member of the Pine Tree Gun Club Pistol Team, he was ranked Expert and assisted in coaching the U. S. Olympic pistol team. Most recently, he was a member of the Manville Sportsmen’s Rod & Gun Club.

PGK Brother Paul was a dedicated active member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. John Feeney Council #7110 St. Joseph’s Church in North Scituate. As a 4th Degree, past Navigator and State District Deputy, Paul was always proud to serve this great organization and call all members his “brothers.”

He volunteered at the Scituate Arts Festival and organized multiple fundraisers for various charities including the Special Olympics and the SPRED Program. Service to his community and dedication to his family was always at the center of his life.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 2, at 10 a.m., at Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. The Mass will also be video live-streamed on the funeral home website, for anyone who would like to participate without attending the church. Due to the current restrictions, social distancing and face masks are required. Visiting hours are on Monday, March 1, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the O’Neill Funeral Home at 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, R.I.
