Joseph C. Beaulieu Sr. – Johnston

Joseph C. Beaulieu Sr., 92, of Manuel Avenue, Johnston, passed away at home on March 23, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma F. Beaulieu with whom he shared 70 beautiful years.

The youngest of five boys, he was born in his family’s home in Johnston and lived there his entire life. Ever the accountant, he catalogued every aspect of his life with countless records and photographs – from the tomatoes and flowers that grew in his amazing gardens to a photographic history of family events large and small. He was a WWII veteran and avid golfer. He was our master tax preparer and skilled bread baker. His love for us was boundless and kisses and hugs were mandatory.

He leaves behind his children, John Beaulieu of Dunnellon, Fla., Christine Beaulieu of Greenville, Carol Beaulieu-Gonsalves of Greenville, William Beaulieu of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Robert Beaulieu and his wife, Karen, of Hernando, Fla.; his daughter-in-law, Susan Beaulieu, of Warwick; his grandchildren, Joseph Beaulieu III of Charleston, S.C., Jaclyn Cambio of Cranston, Keith Beaulieu of Ocala, Fla., James Beaulieu of Warwick, Edward Beaulieu of Warwick, Kyera Shea of Greenville, Joseph Gonsalves of Freehold, N.J., Megan Gonsalves of Buffalo, N.Y., Emily Gonsalves of Greenville, William Beaulieu Jr of Grapevine, Texas, Kevin Beaulieu of Albany, N.Y., Geoffrey Heeks of Fall River, Mass.; 11 great-grandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Joseph Beaulieu Jr. and James Beaulieu, and brother of the late George N., Earl, Raymond, and William Beaulieu.

A graveside committal service for Joseph and Norma, and their son, James Beaulieu, will be held Thursday, April 15, at 12:30 p.m., in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Social Distancing and face masks are required. For messages of condolence, please visit www.andersonwinfield.net .
