Ex-MSC lacrosse stars McComb, Choquet receive GNAC’s weekly honors at Lasell

NEWTON, Mass. – Jordan McComb and Morgan Choquet, who starred for the Mount Saint Charles Academy girls’ lacrosse team in the mid-2010s and are graduate students on the Lasell University women’s lacrosse team, swept the Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s weekly honors on Monday.

McComb, who hails from Cumberland and was an All-Division girls’ hockey, volleyball, and lacrosse player for the Mounties was named the conference’s Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, and Choquet, who is a native of Woonsocket, was selected as the Women’s Lacrosse Goalie of the Week.

A three-time All-GNAC midfielder, McComb filled up the stat sheet in Lasell’s 16-13 victory on Wednesday, March 31, over Johnson & Wales University, as she tallied six goals, three assists, eight draw controls, four caused turnovers, and three ground balls.

McComb leads the GNAC this spring with 20 goals and ranks second with 11 assists and 31 points. She also came into this week just five goals away from the 200th of her career.

Choquet, who was an All-GNAC goalie in 2019, made 11 saves in Lasell’s victory over Johnson & Wales, including two on free-position attempts on potential game-tying shots late in the second half. She is tied for the GNAC lead this spring with 25 saves and also ranks fourth in save percentage (.417).
