Fernanda Aguiar – Pawtucket

Fernanda Aguiar, 65, of Pawtucket, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021, at home.

She was the wife of Frank Aguiar and they had been married for 44 years. Born in 1955 in Penalva Do Castelo, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Conceicao) Ribeiro. She moved to this country in 1971, settling in Pawtucket.

Fernanda dedicated her life to the care of her family. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts. She had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her roses and plants around the house. Those who love her will always remember her exceptional cooking and her love for caring for her family.

She leaves her two sons, Jason Aguiar and his wife, Julie, of Pawtucket, and Eric Aguiar of Pawtucket; her two grandchildren Bianca and Logan; her two siblings John Ribeiro and his wife, Carolyn, of Cumberland, and Abel Ribeiro and his wife, Gloria, of Cumberland; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Fernanda's Life Celebration to be held with visiting hours on Monday, May 3, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m., and continue on Tuesday, May 4, at 9 a.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
