Lincoln police ask for help identifying suspect

LINCOLN – Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who tried to break into Lincoln Town Hall during the overnight hours of May 7-8.

The suspect was captured on surveillance cameras walking onto the property around 11:20 p.m. last Friday before attempting to break into the building by tampering with several windows and doors over the course of a few hours.

Police believe the man in his late 50s or 60s. He has short, gray hair and a gray mustache with gray stubble on the rest of his face. He’s described as being around five feet, seven inches tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue baseball cap, dark pants and work boots at the time of the incident.
