Paul R. Lacombe - Lincoln

Paul R. Lacombe, 83, formerly of Albion, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Metivier) Lacombe. Mr. & Mrs. Lacombe had been married for 60 years.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Albert and Rita (Palardy) Lacombe, he had lived in Albion for most of his life, moving to Cumberland over two years ago.

Mr. Lacombe worked as an aircraft mechanic at Quonset Point, and later as machine repair technician for Draper Corporation, Hopedale, and for Waters Corporation, Milford, retiring in 1999.

Paul loved to ski, play golf in the Waters Corp. Golf League, and play the harmonica; was a fan of the Patriots and Bruins, enjoyed travelling with his wife throughout Northern New England. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Nicole Miranda of Albion; four sons, Daniel Lacombe, and his wife Eileen, of Cumberland, David Lacombe, and his wife Diane, of Cumberland, Steven Lacombe, and his wife Heidi, of Warwick, and Michael Lacombe of Northbridge, Mass.; two sisters, Lillian McNeil of North Smithfield, and Celine Cote of Cumberland; two brothers, Ernest Lacombe of Lincoln, and Charles Lacombe of Boston, Mass.; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Jocelyn Pelletier and the brother of the late Pauline Laverdiere and Armand Lacombe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 5, in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School St., Albion. Burial, with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
