George J. Dulieu - Pawtucket

George J. Dulieu, age 84, of Pawtucket, died on Thursday, June 3, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline M. (Damiani) Dulieu.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Desire and Marie (Istace) Dulieu.

Beside his loving wife, he was the devoted father of his four children, Susan McCreary and her husband, Michael, of North Hampton, Mass., Mark Dulieu and his wife, Barbara, of Warwick, Greg Dulieu and his wife, Linda, of Cranston and Scott Dulieu and his wife, Karen, of Cumberland. He was the proud grandfather of Courtney Dulieu, Benjamin Dulieu and his wife, Sara, Dr. Lauren Presti and her husband, Dr. Tom Presti, Danielle Dulieu, Sam Dulieu, Rachel Lantaigne and her husband, Tyler, Austin McCreary, Jaryd Dulieu and his fiancée, Kailee Thomas, Jordan Dulieu and step-grandchildren, Douglas Rosenberg and Abby Burns. He was the great-grandfather of Chloe Palmisciano, Abel Frement, Piper Dulieu, Lachlan Dulieu and Lilyana Burns. He enjoyed and lived his life to the fullest with his entire, close-knit family. He was very proud of each and every one of them. They were his life!

He was the dear brother and predeceased in death by his brothers and sisters, infant George, Celine Dunlap/Cross, Adele Benoit, Marie Heaney, Theresa Baril, Girard Dulieu and Claire Machino. He leaves many nieces, nephews, and very close friends. He enjoyed spending summers on Cape Cod with family and friends.

A communicant of Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish (formerly St. Cecilia Church). George was an active member having been a member of the Parish Financial Council, he was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion in addition to other services in his parish throughout the years. George was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Cecilia Church Council #12613, since January 19, 2000, and also a member of the 4th Degree with the Knights of Columbus Delaney Council #1059.

George worked for the former Corning Glass Works/G.T.E./Osram Sylvania Company for 33 years retiring in 1996.

He was most grateful and appreciative to his loving wife, his entire family and friends and always remembered them all in his daily prayers.

His funeral will be held on Monday, June 7, at 9 a.m., from the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish (St. Cecilia Church) 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
