Hilda Hannah Bloomberg – Scituate

Hilda Hannah Bloomberg, known as Hannah, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family of friends during her last days.

Hannah was born in Brookline, Mass. She graduated from Boston University and worked at Charles River Hospital. Hannah enriched the lives of many friends and co-workers in the Boston area through the 1990s. After graduating with her Masters in Social Work from Simmons College, she attained her LICSW. She then moved to Rhode Island where she worked at Arbor Fuller Hospital, Kent Center and Westwood Lodge prior to starting her own private therapy practice. She thrived in being able to help others.

In Rhode Island, Hannah met her beloved husband Richard. Together they rehabilitated and personalized their beautiful home in Scituate, which they shared with many friends and their beloved dog, Bella. Hannah continued her lifelong talent and love for drawing and painting, joining and inspiring other local artist friends. She often gave away her beautiful paintings, just as she always strived to give of herself to others. Hannah was also an advocate of progressive politics, supporting change and always ready to engage in vigorous discussions.

Hannah also enjoyed yoga and walks. She had a great sense of humor and was a loyal friend. She is survived by a loving group of lifelong friends from Boston and Rhode Island. Hannah's husband, Richard Chiaverini, predeceased her in 2015. Her brother Victor Bloomberg passed away in January 2021.

A celebration of Hannah’s life will be determined at a later date. Donations are welcomed to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence Rhode Island. Please share memories in the Facebook group, "Hilda Hannah Bloomberg - Memorial."
