Town coming back together with Summer Concert Series

NORTH PROVIDENCE – Fourth of July festivities at Notte Park gave the first taste of revived community life post-pandemic, says Mayor Charles Lombardi, and now the North Providence Summer Concert Series will continue that trend.

The North Providence Summer Concert Series in the amphitheater at the Overlook at Camp Meehan at Notte Park starts on Thursday, July 15, with the band Image playing from 6 to 8 p.m

Lombardi said this week that he’s really hoping people turn out to enjoy each other and the upgraded facilities at Camp Meehan/Notte Park.

Of many other events planned here, he said, he’s also planning to host the first non-Zoom meeting of the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns at the Overlook on July 20. Lombardi is the president of the league.

“I want to show it off,” he said.

On July 22, Roger Ceresi and the All Starz Band will play at the Overlook from 6 to 8 p.m., and on July 29, Brass Attack will also play in that same time slot.

All performances are free. Bring a lawn chair or blankets and join family and friends for a night of music and fun. Food trucks will be available on site.
