Family Service of R.I. GO Team to begin work with Pawucket PD

PAWTUCKET – The Pawtucket Police Department will begin its work with the Family Service of Rhode Island’s GO Team representative this week.

The discussions around the GO Team with FSRI started quite some time ago in Pawtucket as the Police Department, in an effort to adapt to the constantly changing needs for public safety, refocused its efforts on victim response, which are now becoming a reality with the start of this full-time representative, states a press release. The position will be responsible for providing in-person support and crisis intervention services as a response to calls to the Police Department.

The GO Team’s overall goal is to support victims of crime in many different areas and help the Police Department to respond with crisis intervention, trauma management, language support, and additional community assistance. The GO Team has partnerships with Pawtucket, Providence, East Providence, Central Falls, and the State Police.

If you or someone you know is a victim of a crime and in need of these resources, contact the Pawtucket Police Department at 401-727-9100.
