Gobeille joins IN-SIGHT staff

CUMBERLAND – IN-SIGHT, a nonprofit agency that builds the independence of Rhode Islanders who are blind and visually impaired through a wide range of programs and services, announced that Dr. Micaela Gobeille, of Cumberland, has joined the staff of its low vision clinic.

Gobeille will be working with visually impaired adults as part of an interdisciplinary team to find ways for these patients to maximize their remaining vision so that they can be as independent as possible.

Gobeille, along with other IN-SIGHT staff, assess clients using a variety of devices and techniques including magnifiers, lighting, glare reduction, specialty eyewear, assistive technology devices and independent living aids.

"Low vision patient care provides a unique opportunity to examine the patient as a whole and allows me to have a tremendous impact on their quality of life," Gobeille said.
