Francis T. Pado – Cumberland

Francis T. Pado, 91, of Cumberland passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Irma Maria (Gruner) Pado.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Jamros) Pado. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life, previously residing in Dorchester, Mass. For the past six years, he resided at the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol.

He was a United States Army, Korea War Veteran.

Frank was employed as a production manager for the former Carol Cable Company for many years until his retirement.

Mr. Pado was a communicant of the former St. Patrick Church, Cumberland. He enjoyed traveling and trips to the beach. Those who love him will fondly remember his love for a good cigar and sitting in the backyard listening to Lawrence Welk with his Siamese cats.

He leaves his son, Stephen Pado, of Cumberland, his daughter, Kathy Tanguay, of Pawtucket; his grandson, James Tanguay, and his wife, Laura; his great-granddaughter, Christina Tanguay; his aunt Louise Pado of Cumberland; as well as his several cousins, nieces and nephews.

His funeral and burial will be private.

The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the staff at the R.I. Veterans Home in Bristol for their kind and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol.
