SMITHFIELD – The Audubon Society of Rhode Island will host a winter birding program at Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge, 12 Sanderson Road, on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Walk the trails and visit the forest and pond looking for signs of winter birds. Learn tips for identifying look-a-likes and learn about winter resident bird feeding. Bring binoculars, bundle up for the weather, and wear sturdy, warm footwear.
The fee is $10/member; $14/non-member. Open to ages 10 and up. Register through the events calendar at asri.org/calendar.
