BARRINGTON – Chamber Orchestra of Barrington at St. John’s will perform on Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m., at St. John Episcopal Church, 191 County Road.
The orchestra will celebrate two native Rhode Island artists at the concert. Award-winning composer Peter Boyer will be represented by his “Three Olympians” for string orchestra. The featured soloist in Jan Freicher’s “Soaring in the Sky for Vibraphone” is Bryan Round, a native of Burrillville and tympanist with COBSJ. Rounding out the program is Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 2 in D major, op. 36,” the composer’s first leap toward expanding the symphonic form.
