PAWTUCKET – The 13th annual SENE Film Music & Arts Festival will present a preview screening of the documentary “Slatersville” on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m., at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center Theater, 175 Main St.

Filmmaker Christian de Rezendes will present a special screening of the historical documentary series “Slatersville: America’s First Mill Village,” which will premiere on Rhode Island PBS in the fall of 2022. This screening will focus on the controversial origins of Samuel Slater, from his early years in Belper, England, to his time in Pawtucket where he ran the first cotton factory in America.

This program will run close to an hour, followed by a question and answer session with the filmmaker. This preview will not be presented online publicly. It will only be viewable in its entirety during opening night of the SENE Film Music & Arts Festival.
