NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence Town Council last week unanimously approved a victualing license for Cumberland-based Juliana’s Italian Bakery to expand to a second location at 1998 Mineral Spring Ave. in North Providence, in Anthony Manzo’s new building across from the old public safety complex.

Owner Lee Hall, a North Providence native, told councilors that food will continue to be cooked at the Cumberland location and then goods will be brought to North Providence.

Manzo explained some of the safety measures being installed in the commercial plaza, including a new fire alarm system in the whole building.

Hall has said he plans to move to the new location this fall.

Also last week, the council approved:

• A laundry license for Panda Investment and Waterman Laundry at 146 Waterman Ave.

• And a victualing license for Lisa Bazzle and Sweet Deliveries to do business at 2242 Mineral Spring Ave. (Speedy Pizza building).
