LINCOLN – Lincoln-based Granite Telecommunications has plans to expand, adding at least 50 new jobs ranging from sales and tech to customer support and leadership roles.

The company has tripled the size of its space in Lincoln, according to a release. In 2013, Granite Telecommunications opened its office in the Albion Crossing office space off Route 116, and will now expand into a 23,000-square-foot space at the same address, 1 Albion Road.

The new space will provide room for more than 250 employees, according to a release. The company has also expanded its offices in Florida and Georgia, and added new offices in other locations.

“Our team in Rhode Island has been a cornerstone of Granite’s success since the company was founded in 2002,” said Rand Currier, chief operating officer and owner.

“We continue to reinvest in Rhode Island because we believe our current staff enjoys a great quality of life there, and we’re able to more easily recruit new talent to join our team in providing the best service in the industry, which our customers have come to expect from us,” he said.

Rhode Island Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor, said, “This is a company that had options but elected to expand its presence in Rhode Island. Congratulations and thank you to all involved.”
