SMITHFIELD – Oliver Harvey, chief operating officer of The Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville, has been recognized with the 2019 Executive Director Hero Award by the Rhode Island Assisted Living Association.
RIALA presented the award to Harvey during an awards ceremony held at the Twin River Conference Center in Lincoln. The Hero Awards recognize individuals who go above and beyond their job description to provide outstanding care and service to residents in the Senior Living industry.
“It is certainly fitting that Oliver be the premier recipient of the Executive Director Hero Award,” said Jennifer Beauchamp, vice president of marketing communications, “as his performance literally defines what it means ‘to go over and above.’”
A press release states, “Harvey has been a leader at The Village right from the start of construction in 1990 and has set the pace for a culture of positivity and teamwork that he has helped to create. When the chief operating officer shovels and plows snow alongside the maintenance team during every heavy storm, or serves the food from behind the buffet line during the employee holiday parties and barbecues, and picks up trash around the campus wherever he sees it, this inspires everyone do their part in turn.”
