NORTH PROVIDENCE – Lincolnwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility in North Providence, has opened a new subacute rehabilitation unit designed to help patients recover from surgery or illness and return home.

The 14,000-square-foot unit has 36 beds and is staffed by skilled rehab specialists, supervised by an experienced medical team, and equipped with the latest rehab technology. Lee Allaire, Lincolnwood’s administrator, cut the ribbon for the new subacute unit during an Aug. 18 event celebrating the milestone.

Lincolnwood, formerly Hopkins Manor, located at 610 Smithfield Road, provides North Providence and surrounding communities with the highest levels of subacute short-term and comprehensive long-term care in a compassionate and caring environment, according to its staff.
