PROVIDENCE – Gov. Dan McKee, House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi, Senate President Dominick Ruggerio and Attorney Gen. Peter Neronha will hold a news conference on Wednesday morning, June 16, to announce the funding of a statewide body camera program that will be included in the state budget.

Also at the announcement will be Sen. Jonathon Acosta, of District 16, Central Falls and Pawtucket, Rep. Jose Batista, of District 12, Providence, Col. James Manni, superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police and Director of the R.I. Department of Public Safety Chief Richard Ramsay, the president of the R.I. Police Chiefs Association, and Jim Vincent, president, NAACP Providence Branch.
