Sen. Roger Picard, of District 20, says listening to his constituents is one of his most important duties as a public servant, and he promises that he will always be open to hearing concerns and ideas.

This year, a new law that he sponsored came directly from a constituent, he said in a news release. He introduced the “stolen valor” law, which now allows prosecution of those who falsely represent themselves as a military member or veteran for personal benefit, at the request of a local veteran who was appalled by a high-profile case of such fraud.
