Florence T. (Blanchette) Jalette, 93, of North Smithfield, died Thursday, Sept. 23, in Hope Hospice & Palliative Care.

She was the wife of the late Robert W. Jalette whom she married Sept. 29, 1951. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Georgianna (Dion) Blanchette.

Florence worked as an assembler for A.T. Cross in Lincoln, retiring in 1992. Before her retirement she also worked at Almacs, A & P Grocery, Roberts Clothing Store, and Kornstein's Department Store. Florence was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.

She is survived by her five children: Susan Owens and her husband, Allen, of West Warwick, Joyce Maznicki of West Warwick, Donna Jalette and her partner, Rosemarie Tartaglia, of Johnston, Gail Narodowy and her husband, Wayne, with whom Florence lived, of North Smithfield, and Robert D. Jalette and his wife, Liane, of North Smithfield; six grandchildren, Det. Stony Maznicki WWPD and his wife, Susan, Alexander Narodowy and his wife, Brianna; BriAnna Narodowy and her fiancé, Matt Rondeau, and Matthew, Elizabeth and Emily Jalette; and two great-grandchildren, Dominik and Maci Maznicki. She was the sister of the late Raymond, Theodore, Aram, and Paul Blanchette, Alice Pretto, Edna Boudreau, Doris Ethier, Sylvia Sutherland, Hilda Girard, Sister Olive Blanchette, and Delores Beaudet; and mother-in-law of the late Michael Maznicki.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 10 a.m., from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Those who are unvaccinated are kindly asked to wear masks at the funeral home and church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
