Karl J. Treptow, 91, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Barbara (Munding) Treptow and they had been married for the past 51 years.

Born in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of the late Reinhold Treptow and Anna Nuewirth. He resided in Cumberland for the past 31 years, previously residing in Chicago.

Mr. Treptow was employed by Quebecor Inc. in Providence for eight years. He was previously employed at the Chicago Tribune for over 30 years.

Karl enjoyed gardening, traveling frequently to Mexico and Germany, but most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his son, Alexander Treptow, of Wilmington, Del., his daughter, Kendra Treptow, of Cumberland; and his two grandchildren, Devin and Reese.
