Godin, Liam obituary

Liam P. Godin, 20, of Barberry Hill Road, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 19.

He was the beloved son of Brien and Jayme (Gilbert) Godin. Born in Providence, he was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.

Affectionately known as Jyn by his friends, he was a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass.

He enjoyed playing guitar as well as horticulture, but his biggest passion was being outdoors in nature, particularly hiking and flyfishing in Big Sky, Montana.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Shea Godin, of Cumberland; his paternal grandmother, Theresa Godin, of Woonsocket; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to The Samaritans, Inc., P.O. Box 9086, Providence, R.I. 02940, would be appreciated.
