Robert Audette, 89, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at the Bristol Veteran’s Home surrounded by his family Monday, September 27, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Joan (LaRose) Audette. They were happily married for 68 years. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Armand and Gertrude (Whitehead) Audette.

Bob was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years before retiring. He was an avid golfer, a longtime member of Saint John Vianney Church and was a former member of the Church Mens Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Kevin Audette and his wife, Trish, Dori Baril and her husband, Joseph, Lisa Audette and her companion, David Boyce, and Robin Audette; 10 grandchildren, Jessica Baril, Lindsay (Baril) Burns, Daniel Baril, David Audette, Marie (Audette) Allen, Adam Pernini, Jared Pernini, Justin Pernini, Stefan Duda, and Michael Duda. He also leaves 10 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Gary Audette and the brother of the late Leo Audette and Teresa Wilson.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m., in Saint John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. The burial with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., in Saint John Vianney Church, prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the R.I. Veteran’s Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809, or Hopehealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904, in memory of Bob, would be appreciated.
