As a relative and friend of teachers, workers, and students in various Rhode Island school districts, I am writing to simply ask what is new in our schools regarding school safety. With the start of school only days away, I must ask – what school districts or schools will have posted guards? Has the State of Rhode Island or Department of Education equipped the schools with increased security measures including but not limited to devices, barriers, locked and monitored doors and vestibules, perimeter security, enhanced landscaping, and/or security cameras? I am unsure if it is wise to reveal all the new and updated rigorous security upgrades, however, can we be assured that much time, energy, money, and thought has indeed made our R.I. schools a much safer place for the 2022-2023 school year?

No. But we got 87,000 new IRS agents.

What's your point other than the usual deflection? Please enlighten us with another of your rambling word salad manifestos of projection what exactly The IRS has to do with school safety?

Nothing. That was the point. Duh.
