The CumberlandFest Steering Committee and Cumberland Youth Activities Council Board of Directors wish to express our thanks to all who contributed to making CumberlandFest 2021 a success.

CumberlandFest has been a community-wide event since its inception 30 years ago.

Throughout its history, scores of businesses, hundreds of volunteers and tens of thousands of visitors have come together to support this annual celebration with their financial contributions, talents and energy, and this year, the proof was in the pudding.

As recently as Memorial Day, we were uncertain as to whether, due to the pandemic, we would be able to hold an event. That’s why when we were given the green light to do so, we exerted all of our efforts to offer a celebration that was worthy of our 30th anniversary year. Based upon the positive commentary that we have received; we believe that we achieved our objective.

Orchestrating an event of the size and scope of CumberlandFest takes a small army of adults and young people. Behind the scenes planning begins months before, and the running of the three-day event requires many hands-on-deck. A growing challenge is attracting adult volunteers to handle the myriad of tasks required. Many on our core steering committee have been involved for years, and a few have served as volunteers since CumberlandFest’s inception in 1991.

As we look forward to CumberlandFest 2022, we will be reaching out to business sponsors, youth and school groups, and community-based organizations in a concerted effort to recruit committed volunteers. When asked, please consider joining our efforts to continue Cumberland’s cherished summer event.

Again, we wish to thank you all. We could not do it without you! We’ll see you at CumberlandFest 2022!
