NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence High boys’ soccer team raised its Division III record to 2-1-1 on Monday night by cruising to a 9-0 victory over Johnston High on the Cougars’ newly turfed Serio Field.

Three seniors led the way for the Cougars, as Jason Reed scored three goals and Raheem Burgess-Sutton and Sebastian Velez each added a pair. Senior Bruno Teixeira also netted his team-leading fourth goal of the young season, freshman Logan Santos also found the back of the net, and freshman Toprak Kalakci and Velez each contributed multiple assists.
