SMITHFIELD – Registration is open for the Smithfield Youth Basketball Association’s summer season, and boys from grades pre-K through high school and girls from grades pre-K through eighth grade (as of May 1) can visit www.smithfieldhoops.com to sign up.
The 10-week season will start on Monday, June 19, at the Pleasant View Elementary School’s courts, and games will run from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be boys’ and girls’ divisions, and children from grades pre-K to second grade will play in instructional divisions.
The fee is play is $85 per player, with a $10 discount for each additional sibling.
The league is also looking for volunteers to coach teams. Anyone interesting in coaching or for more information on the league can email smithfieldhoopsri@gmail.com.
